Special Containment Procedures: The SCP-9121 event has concluded. A disinformation campaign explaining SCP-9121 as mass hallucinations caused by a gas leak is ongoing. Psychological counseling provided to witnesses has been successful in convincing them of this. Evidence of a major gas leak has been planted as well. All video evidence of the SCP-9121 event has been seized.
Description: SCP-9121 was an astronomical event that occurred above the town of Beddington, Maine, on April 6, 2025. The event itself was an unnatural solar eclipse that lasted approximately an hour and a half. During this eclipse, entities hereon referred to as SCP-9121-1 were made visible.
SCP-9121-1 were humanoid entities that appeared completely pitch-black with white eyes. Entities did not appear to interact with light and failed to be illuminated by any light source. Instances created a high-pitched noise of unknown purpose. The behavior of SCP-9121-1 instances varied according to witness testimony. Descriptions of their behavior and interactions with witnesses are included below.

Justin Michaels
Mr. Michaels discovered an SCP-9121-1 instance inside his dark basement. Assuming it to be a home intruder, Mr. Michaels confronted the instance with a pipe wrench. During the altercation, Mr. Michaels struck the instance, causing it to fall over. Following this, Mr. Michaels turned on the lights and fled upon seeing how the instance did not illuminate.
Ross Sullivan
Mr. Sullivan encountered an entity in his kitchen, eating from a box of cookies. Rather than confronting it, Mr. Sullivan escaped outside and called the authorities.
Mick Lucky
Mr. Lucky discovered an entity in his bathroom and was subsequently chased back to his own room by it. The entity trapped him inside by pushing over a bookshelf in front of his door. Mr. Lucky successfully escaped onto his roof and did not have any further encounters with the entity. A note recovered from the scene is included later in this document.
Julia Harrison
Ms. Harrison discovered one large entity and three smaller entities in her living room. Panicking, Ms. Harrison grabbed a small self-defense pistol and aimed it at the entities while yelling. The largest of the entities got between Ms. Harrison and the smaller entities and made a high-pitched noise while raising its arms. Fearing for her safety, Ms. Harrison shot the largest entity. Following this, she ran upstairs and got her daughters before fleeing. During her escape, she observed the smaller entities surrounding the largest entity, which had not gotten back up.
