Description: SCP-9068 is the phenomenon of noospheric wildfires. Considered naturally occurring within the noosphere, these "wildfires" function to destroy and erase the debris that's been gathering dust in our collective heads. SCP-9068 is theorized to function akin to how baseline wildfires affect forests via fire ecology: when half-formed or fading concepts begin to build up within the noosphere and amalgam, these gatherings are marked as "dry," "cracked," "flammable." This calls the SCP-9068 phenomenon into existence when the right "spark" is applied. The removal of this detritus allows for new connections and ideas to form, and is part of a healthy breakfast for the noosphere as a whole.
SCP-9068 occurrences typically go unnoticed, as it primarily affects concepts whose connections have already been weakened and are fading from the collective consciousness.
Concepts burned by SCP-9068 are irrecoverable. SCP-9068's "fires" do not appear to be able to be permanently extinguished, merely called to new locations. When directly viewed, SCP-9068 will be called to your mind.
